Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year at Oxford Middle School. The year ahead will offer many new learning opportunities for your child. Our goal is to provide a caring, stimulating learning environment where children are challenged with rigorous standards. We have the responsibility to foster learning through meaningful instruction within a balanced and interactive curriculum. Ultimately, we want our children to have a strong academic foundation and the ability to apply knowledge to think critically and communicate effectively.

LovePack Food Drive
OMS is having a school-wide food drive for LovePacks. Canned goods will be collect by grades. Boxes will be placed in the halls for drop off, and donations will be picked up each morning. Flyers will be sent home for what we are in need of. We will post the numbers of items given each afternoon to promote a friendly competition. Everybody is encouraged to participate! Thank you for your support.

Curriculum Fair
The Curriculum Fair for 8th Grade Parents will be at 6:00 pm in the OHS Auditorium on Thursday, February 23.

OMS Yearbooks
Time is running out to purchase your 2011-2012 yearbook! Please see Mr. Moore or Mrs. Woods to purchase your copy…only $25.00. Yearbooks will be on sale through Friday.

Mathcounts Competition
Congratulations to the OMS Mathcounts team! They placed 1st in the North Mississippi Competition held Saturday, February 18th at the University of Mississippi. Click the headline for more details!

OMS Art-Designed T-Shirts
The 8th Grade Art II students have designed OMS Charger t-shirts. The top two designs (by Jacquez Neilson and Jack Turner) were chosen to be printed on the t-shirt which will go on sale February 2nd. Click the headline for more information on how to order yours!

OMS Report Card for the 2009-2010 School Year
The most recent Oxford Middle School Report Card provides a performance report for the school. This Report Card is a tool for understanding the effectiveness of classroom instruction and how students are performing on state tests.
